Although the Houston Rockets came out on top of the Sacramento Kings, it came with a price as Alperen Sengun exited the game with an injury. This led De’Aaron Fox and Domantas Sabonis to speak their thoughts out on what truly happened to the Rockets’ big man.
In that particular game, the Rockets beat Sacramento right in their very home with a score of 112-104. Fred VanVleet came out with guns blazing by posting 22 points on 62 percent efficiency from the field, four rebounds, and nine assists. Jalen Green added 19 points and three assists as a starter.
On the other hand, the Kings saw Domantas Sabonis almost go off a triple double with 25 points, 15 rebounds, and eight assists. Fox contributed 18 points and nine rebounds as Sacramento remain in the Western Conference’s sixth seed.
Right before he exited the game, Sengun notched 14 points, six rebounds, two assists, and two steals. A couple of nights ago, the Rockets center posted the best game of his career by dropping 45 points and 16 rebounds in a win against Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs.

Fox said that he just saw the play on his phone and noted that there’s a lot of weight crashing down on the Rockets star’s leg upon landing. Ultimately, the two Kings’ star wished Sengun a speedy recovery in the coming days.
Sengun’s injury comes as the final nail in the coffin for Houston’s playoff hopes this year. In any case, next season looks promising, especially with the leap the Rockets center has taken in the past few months.
