Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark came out with a statement performance on Monday night. She put her team on her shoulders as the Hawkeyes took down Angel Reese and the defending champions LSU Tigers in what turned out to be a memorable Elite Eight showdown.
It comes as absolutely no surprise that Clark has grabbed all sorts of headlines after her 41-point explosion against LSU. One basketball legend who has sung her praises is none other than Boston Celtics icon Paul Pierce.
Paul Pierce Chimes in on Iowa Hawkeyes Star Caitlin Clark’s Performance Vs. LSU

Speaking on a recent episode of Undisputed, Pierce had a pretty colorful description of what he saw from Clark on Monday night. The Hall of Famer did not hold back in expressing just how much he believes Clark utterly dominated Reese and the Tigers:
“We saw a white girl in Iowa do it to a bunch of black girls. That gained my respect,” Pierce said. “… She did it to some girls from LSU who we thought was some dawgs — defending champs — and put ’em on their knee and spanked them. I didn’t expect that.”

After witnessing Clark drop 41 points on 13-of-29 shooting, to go along with nine treys (!), seven rebounds, 12 assists, two steals, and a block in a truly masterful performance, it’s hard to argue against Pierce’s assessment here — except if you’re an LSU fan, of course.
