Is Los Angeles Lakers Star Anthony Davis Playing Tonight in Play-In Game Vs. New Orleans Pelicans?

Los Angeles Lakers superstar Anthony Davis was unable to finish Sunday’s season finale against the New Orleans Pelicans. This is after the nine-time All-Star was forced to exit the blowout win with just five minutes remaining in the fourth quarter due to a back issue.

This cast some doubt on Davis’ availability for Tuesday’s rematch against New Orleans, except that this one has a lot more at stake. This single-elimination Play-In showdown will determine the No. 7 seed in the West, and it goes without saying that a lot will be at stake.

As such, Lakers fans have been wanting to know: Is Anthony Davis playing tonight vs. the Pelicans?

Los Angeles Lakers News: Anthony Davis Questionable to Play Vs. Pelicans

According to the official injury report, Davis is questionable to play due to back spasms. This does go against the fact that Davis himself already declared himself available for this do-or-die contest shortly after Sunday’s 124-108 victory over New Orleans.

Then again, this is going to be LA’s most crucial game of the season yet, which likely means that only a major injury is going to force the 6-foot-10 big man to watch from the sidelines. As such, we fully expect AD to be available for Tuesday night, despite what appears to be a concerning back problem.

    LeBron James Probable to Play

For what it’s worth, LeBron James has popped up on the injury report again. He is, however, probable to play with the same left ankle issue that has perpetually kept him on the injury report. We all know LeBron is going to play so at this point, you can’t help but question why the Lakers even bother him listing in the first place.

However, with regard to the question of is Anthony Davis playing tonight vs. the Pelicans, while there remains no guarantee, it’s very unlikely that AD sits this one out.
