Unlike the previous year, Angel Reese was unable to win the championship after falling to a Caitlin Clark-led Iowa Hawkeyes team. Along the way, the LSU Tigers star revealed that she has been on the receiving end of several death threats.

After spending four years playing for Saint Frances Academy, Reese entered Maryland’s program as the top high school wing. The 6’3″ forward would then post averages of 15.3 points on 49 percent shooting from the field, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.2 blocks per game.

Due to her desire to develop as a stretch four for the WNBA, Reese decided to enter the transfer portal in her third year. She would eventually join the LSU Tigers under coach Kim Mulkey, a move that eventually led to the program’s first championship. Reese also won the NCAA Tournament’s Most Outstanding Player and set the record for the most double-doubles in a single season.

This year, though, is a different story for Reese. After eliminating Clark the previous season, the Hawkeyes star returned the favor and defeated the LSU Tigers to make their way to the Final Four. This development led Reese to declare for the WNBA Draft after finishing her final year in college basketball.

Nick Wright Gives Powerful Advice For LSU Tigers’ Angel Reese Amid Death Threats Revelation

After winning the championship last year, Reese revealed that she has gone through so many challenges, including being sexualized and receiving death threats. This led FS1’s Nick Wright to give the LSU star advice on what she’s going through.

As complex as Reese’s battles are, Wright’s advice of logging off from her social media accounts, and the internet as a whole, is simple and easy to do. The First Things First host made a good point that these people are living their lives on the internet and aren’t individuals Reese will encounter in person.

With the WNBA Draft coming soon, more eyes will be on Reese as she becomes a professional. By then, the LSU star could have taken Wright’s advice in dealing with all the toxicity she has received online as she’s projected to make her first game as a pro later this year.
