Caitlin Clark will play in arguably the most important game in her career thus far on Friday when she looks to lead the Iowa Hawkeyes to a Final Four victory against Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies.
Clark and Co. have had a few days to prepare for this highly-anticipated showdown with a berth in the national championship game on the line. The Hawkeyes recently got a huge boost ahead of their winner-take-all matchup against the No. 3 seed Huskies, which came in the form of an awesome surprise from New York Liberty superstar Sabrina Ionescu.

Ionescu is without a doubt one of the icons of women’s basketball, so it was a pleasant surprise for the entire Iowa squad to see the WNBA star take time out of her schedule to pay them a visit. The entire room erupted the moment it was announced that the special guest they were waiting for was Sabrina:

Not only did Ionescu deliver a stirring speech ahead of Friday’s big game but of course, she came bearing gifts as well. The Liberty guard gifted each member of the Iowa squad a pair of her Nike signature line, the Sabrina 1.
Towards the end of the clip, you can see Ionescu sharing a brief moment with Clark as the pair exchanged pleasantries. It’s only a matter of time before Clark enters Ionescu’s realm in the pros, and we should be in store for some epic battles between these two legends soon enough.
