USC Trojans star JuJu Watkins left it all on the floor on Monday night. The freshman did everything she could to carry the No. 1 Trojans to victory against the No. 3 seed UConn Huskies. She exploded for a game-high 29 points on 9-of-25 shooting, to go along with 10 rebounds, two assists, a steal, two blocks, and two triples in 39 minutes of action.
It still wasn’t enough as Paige Bueckers and the Huskies secured a hard-fought 80-73 victory to book their spot in the Final Four.

This is tough to see for any basketball fan out there. You just know how much hard work Watkins put in throughout what has been a historic debut campaign for USC. She just had to let all the emotions out after seeing her season come to an end.
In case you missed it, it was Bueckers who was one of the first to console her young counterpart after the game. Bueckers balled out herself, finishing with 28 points on 11-of-23 shooting, 10 rebounds, six assists, three steals, two blocks, and three triples in 40 minutes of play.
Watkins finishes her iconic season with averages of 27.0 points on 40.2 percent shooting, 7.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 2.3 steals, and 1.6 blocks in 33 appearances. The future is bright for this young lady.
For now, though, she will need to endure this heartbreak.
