It’s no secret Giannis Antetokounmpo comes from humble beginnings. For someone who sold different goods on the streets of Athens just to make ends meet as a kid, he’s come a long way. Giannis had all the physical traits teams were looking for when he got drafted, but he still needed to put them together. Even though he’s not known for his shot, Giannis can drive and get to the basket better than almost anyone in the NBA. This, combined with his exceptional defensive skills has made him a top-three player in the NBA, with many people putting him at number one. How much has the best player in the NBA made so far off of his NBA contracts?
Giannis Antetokounmpo Career Earnings
According to Spotrac, Giannis will have made over $234 million by the end of the 2023-2024 season. He has four years left on his deal, giving the Bucks control and fans a sense of relief. This offseason, Giannis mentioned how he was hoping the Bucks would go after top-tier players to get them over the hump, after back-to-back disappointing exits. As long as Giannis is in his prime, the Bucks will be in a championship window. Management decided to go after Damian Lillard, even though Lillard mentioned how he was seeking to go to Miami.
As of February 2024, the duo has worked quite well, landing in second place in the East behind Boston. The Bucks also went out and hired Doc Rivers after Adrian Griffin couldn’t quite get his footing during his first season as coach. These moves have shown Giannis the Bucks are serious about winning championships and aren’t just going to do nothing. Even with all this money, there are still plenty of examples of Giannis being just like a regular person.

During the Bucks game against the Pelicans on January 27th, the Bucks were up by 30 in the fourth quarter. The Pelicans missed free throws, thus allowing fans to scan a QR code for free wings. Giannis, didn’t want to miss out on this opportunity. He pulled out his phone and scanned for the free meal along with all the other fans inside the arena. It really feels like Giannis is just another dad in the arena, looking for any deals he can. Giannis takes the game of basketball seriously and knows how much it’s given him. He clearly won’t ever lose himself and will always be responsible when it comes to money management.
Giannis At the All-Star Game

The 2023 NBA All-Star game was filled with moments that stand out, but none more than Giannis going into his fashion and how much he paid for it. Giannis proudly went through every item he was wearing and proclaimed it was either free or fake. Giannis doesn’t see the need to buy real watches when fake ones look just as nice and cost a fraction of what the real ones do. He also is able to be stylish with his jacked and turtle neck, both of which were free for him. In a time where athletes try to one up each other for flashiest items, it’s refreshing to see a superstar who’s down to Earth.
No matter what happens in the future, Giannis will always be a fan favorite thanks to his kind personality and relatable moments like this. Bucks fans should be thrilled to have a superstar like Giannis for their kids to look up to. He never has anything negative going on in social media. He’s just himself and wants to keep it that way. Having his brother around on the team helps him keep his head on straight.
