Washington Wizards: Gilbert Arenas Makes Jaw-Dropping PEDs Claim About 6-Time NBA Champion

Gilbert Arenas leaped to LeBron James’ defense when the Los Angeles Lakers star was recently accused of using PEDs, saying that if James’ detractors use that narrative because he’s playing well in his 21st year in the NBA, then they should keep the same energy on Michael Jordan.

The former Washington Wizards guard raised eyebrows when he insinuated that the six-time Finals MVP was on steroids back in the day, citing that after he had hair during a particular season, he came back the next campaign looking noticeably ripped and bald at the same time.

“All I’m saying is you had waves when the season ended,” said Gilbert Arenas on his podcast. “You decided you needed to get buffed to face them clotheslines. And your hair gone the next year, is all I’m saying.”

“I mean, let’s just leave it at that and just watch the game like everybody else. Because if you want to dig, I can show you some pictures of a full head of hair, 3 months later, hairline gone, buffer than a MF out there,” he added.

Kwame Brown rips Gilbert Arenas for his hot take

Gilbert Arenas went on to argue that it was easy to hide the use of PEDs because there was only one mandatory drug test back in the day for the whole season. In stark contrast, NBA players get regularly tested at least six times (or more when you get picked at random if you have a great performance) today.

To his credit, Michael Jordan never failed a single drug test in his entire NBA career. And if you ask Kwame Brown, Jordan’s former teammate at Washington, he said that he would’ve known about it if that was the case.

“I can say that’s 100 percent cap,” said Brown about Arenas’ insinuations via his YouTube channel. “MJ wasn’t on anything.”

“At 38, at 39, 40 years old, MJ wasn’t outrunning any other young guys. MJ wasn’t coming down the lane tomahawk-dunking on anybody. He was very old, and you could tell this was an older guy out there with young people.”

In his last two NBA seasons with the Washington Wizards, Michael Jordan still produced at a high level, as he averaged 21.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, 4.4 assists, and 1.5 steals per game.
