The LSU Tigers just lost Angel Reese to the WNBA after the three-time AP All-American forward officially declared for the upcoming 2024 Draft. The esteemed program suffered another significant blow on Thursday after star guard Hailey Van Lith announced her decision to move on to greener pastures.
The 22-year-old will now part ways with the Tigers after just one year in Baton Rouge.
LSU Tigers News: Hailey Van Lith Enters Transfer Portal
College basketball insider Peter Nakos was the first to break the news on Van Lith’s stunning decision:

At this point, it remains unclear where the 5-foot-7 guard will head to. Unlike Reese, however, Van Lith has opted to remain in college after choosing not to declare for the WNBA draft. She is now entering her fifth year, which will likely be her final season in the NCAA.
Van Lith, who spent her first three years with Louisville, ends her Tigers career after 33 games played this past season. During this spell, she produced averages of 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.3 steals in 31.3 minutes per contest.
Van Lith’s decision comes on the brink of LSU’s heartbreaking Elite Eight loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes. It was Van Lith who was faced with the unenviable task of attempting to hold down Caitlin Clark, which did not exactly work out for the LSU guard after the latter dropped 41 points in an iconic March Madness performance.
