The Denver Nuggets are more than just about Nikola Jokica and Jamal Murray. On Sunday night, Aaron Gordon showed everyone why. Gordon was a one-man wrecking crew against the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 4 of their second-round encounter in the playoffs.
Gordon was near-perfect in the game, as he finished with 27 points on 11/12 shooting from the field. He knocked down both his attempts from behind the arc and went 3/3 from the free throw line against the Timberwolves, who had no solution to their Gordon problem.

After Game 4, Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch said that Minnesota has to do a better job defending against Gordon.

“We gotta go back to guarding him a little more honestly.”
Well, good luck with that. With Jokic and Murray still around, it’s not going to be an easy task for the Timberwolves to contain a red-hot Gordon, who has averaged 20.0 points on an insane 72.7 field goal percentage in the last three games in the series.

Nevertheless, the Timberwolves really have to put up a much better effort defensively going forward if they are to prevent a total collapse in the series after going up 2-0.
Game 5 is set for Tuesday night back in Denver’s home at Ball Arena, with Minnesota looking to stop the bleeding and regain momentum.
