Even though the Phoenix Suns are in danger of falling down to the Play-In Tournament, the presence of Kevin Durant alone is more than enough to make them contenders in the Western Conference. That’s why Skip Bayless gave the All-Star forward a new name after his recent win against the Denver Nuggets.
The Suns visited Denver as the two teams battle it out to get a better seed for the playoffs. Unfortunately for the Nuggets, Durant took over the game and secured the win for Phoenix.

In that particular game, Durant had 35 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Grayson Allen, surprisingly, stepped up for Devin Booker who missed the match by dropping 28 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals. Meanwhile, Bradley Beal had 16 points, six rebounds, and six assists.
The Nuggets were led by Jamal Murray, who had 28 points and nine assists, and Nikola Jokic, who made 25 points and 16 rebounds, during the losing effort. As a result, Denver is now in third place with a 42-20 record while Phoenix is in sixth place with a 36-26 standing in the Western Conference.
Skip Bayless Gives Kevin Durant New Nickname After Phoenix Suns’ Win Over Denver Nuggets

After the win, Bayless was in awe of Durant’s performance against the Nuggets. He shared a new meaning to KD in a tweet he posted on X:
“KD just went Killer Dog on the Nuggets in overtime in Denver,” Bayless wrote.
Durant has had a number of nicknames over the course of his career. Some of these include Slim Reaper, Durantula, Easy Money Sniper, and KD, among others.

With the playoffs looming closer, expect the two-time MVP and the Suns to become more dangerous in the coming weeks. If anything, fans might see a real killer dog in the All-Star forward to secure a good seed for Phoenix.
