For the first time since his trade to the Los Angeles Clippers, James Harden returned to his former stomping ground on Wednesday night to face the Philadelphia 76ers.
In case you forgot, the former NBA MVP forced his way out of Philly after less than a year with the team. The unrelenting Sixers supporters clearly haven’t forgotten.
Los Angeles Clippers Star James Harden Booed in Philly
The Philly faithful wasted no time letting their feelings known towards their former star. As soon as Harden was introduced in the starting lineup, the fans started booing and heckling the 10-time All-Star:

This is Philadelphia we’re talking about here so this comes as absolutely no surprise. In fact, you wouldn’t expect anything less from this passionate fanbase.
In February 2022, Harden successfully forced his way out of the Brooklyn Nets in favor of a move to Philadelphia. The three-time NBA scoring champ did not exactly enjoy his time playing alongside Joel Embiid and he once again blazed his own path out of Philly in order to link up with Paul George and Kawhi Leonard in Los Angeles.
Harden gave the Sixers fans exactly what he treated Brooklyn supporters to when he forced his exit, which is why there is clearly a bit of bad blood brewing for the Philadelphia faithful. You can fully expect this type of savage treatment all night long for Harden in his first game back in the City of Brotherly Love.
