The Los Angeles Lakers made it two wins in two nights on Wednesday after another crucial victory over the Memphis Grizzlies, 136-124.

Anthony Davis was given the night off in this one after playing 52 minutes on Tuesday in LA’s amazing double-overtime victory against the Milwaukee Bucks. LeBron James returned to action in this one, but he still needed a lot of help to carry the Lakers to their fifth straight win.

    Enter, Rui Hachimura.

Hachimura caught fire on Wednesday night and this resulted in a 32-point eruption on 11-of-14 shooting from the 6-foot-8 power forward. Hachimura rounded out his eye-opening performance with 10 rebounds, an assist, two blocks, and zero turnovers, while also knocking down seven triples on the evening.

After the game, Hachimura was asked if there was something about playing against the Grizzlies that gets him going. The 26-year-old got brutally honest with his response:

“I’m not gonna lie, I’m not a very big fan of the city,” he said.

    That’s savage.

In case you forgot, Hachimura dropped 49 points in Games 1 and 2 of last season’s first-round playoff matchup in Memphis, and he had it going again at the FedEx Forum on Wednesday night.

The Golden State Warriors won on Monday as well, which means that there was a lot of pressure on the Lakers to secure a victory against Memphis. Right now, LA remains 2.5 games ahead of Stephen Curry and Co. for the No. 9 spot in the West.
